(2005/2008)

Deeply rooted in old Slovak and Czech fairy tales of wise kings and their kingdoms, dark, mysterious forests with magical clearings and disappearing houses on a chicken leg, glass castles with mysterious rooms not to be entered and cunning yet fair old witches, yet erotically tinged and mildly Borgesian, these largely plotless poetry and short prose meanders, set in the far western temperate rainforest realm of the Canadian edge of the “New” World, are multi-thematic syntheses of the original, the status quo and the eastalgic immigrant trying to find a quiet home somewhere in between.
